We quote prices to the 5th decimal for most pairs, the 3rd decimal for JPY pairs, and 2 decimal places for BTC pairs.

To place a trade, tap on the trade creation icon in the menu. Once your trade is ready, you can open a long position by tapping "BUY", or a short position by tapping "SELL".

When you are on the TRADE CREATION screen, tap on the currency pair at the top of the screen. This will open the MARKET screen from where you will be able to choose from a large offering of tradable assets.

On the trade screen, tap on the trade multiplier icon (the speedometer). This will take you to the Trade Multiplier screen, where you can select your preferred leverage settings.

You can set a Stop Loss or Take Profit amount on a trade by tapping on the "stopwatch" icon when you set up a trade.

Yes.

Hummingbird Trading allows you to open as many trades as you want. To open a new trade, simply tap the NEW TRADE button on the main trading screen.

To view open trades, simply tap on the ACTIVE TRADES menu on the app navigation bar. This will provide you with a list of all open trades. Tapping on an open trade will allow you to view trade details, view the chart, and close the trade.

At the bottom of the PROFILE screen, tap on TRADE HISTORY. This will bring up trade details by month, including currency pair dealt, deal date, net result on the trade (%), and net profit or loss on the trade ($). By tapping on an individual trade you can view the amount traded, trade multiplier, trade direction (rise or fall), status (closed by trader, auto closed, or closed due to max loss), open time, close time, open price, close price, and interest.

Rollover and interest are managed in real time and are based upon the duration of the trade. Interest rates are those given by the central bank issuing the currencies being traded. You can view the interest received or deducted from any trade by viewing the Trade History menu.

Hummingbird Trading offers a line chart and a candlestick chart. You can switch between the two by swiping up or down on the chart screen.

Tapping on the stopwatch icon within the app allows you to set a price alert or auto-stop on a trade. Using this function allows you to receive an alert or automatically close a trade at a given percentage gain (“TAKE PROFIT”) or a percentage loss (“STOP LOSS”). In other words, this tool allows you to control the maximum you are willing to win or lose on any given trade.

The interest amount listed in the trade history details corresponds to the interest paid or earned for holding a particular position. Because each currency has an associated interest rate and because currencies are always traded in pairs, each pair has two interest rates. Hummingbird Trading calculates interest in real time. Every time you close a trade we calculate the interest earned or paid on the trade based upon the duration of the trade.

The use of borrowed capital to make an investment.

The Trade Multiplier, or Leverage, is a great tool when you want to amplify your earnings. When you put thousands of U.S. dollars into the market, you will probably only end up with a few bucks return. Archimedes once said that he would move the earth if somebody gave him the place to stand on. In the same token, if we borrow money as much as 10 or 100 times as our own investment and trade it as well, we will receive a 10 to 100 times higher return.

One thing to keep in mind when using a trade multiplier: the higher the multiplier the greater the profit potential, but also the GREATER THE RISK of losing.

We attempt to keep trading as simple and transparent as possible. Rather than offering lots, or showing the trade amount in the base currency of the pair, we allow you to decide how much of your money you wish to invest into the trade.

A pop-up screen titled “EMAIL VERIFIED” will display on your mobile device with the message “your email has been verified”.

If you are using a live trading account, the app will be teal in color. If you are using your practice account, the app will be blue. You can switch between live trading and practice trading on your Profile in the app.

The main difference between the two accounts is that there is no risk of losing your money with a practice account since you're trading with virtual currencies. Live trading accounts allow you to trade with your real money. Profits or losses realized on a Hummingbird Trading practice account are not necessarily indicative of performance in a live trading account.

There are plenty of free ways to add funds to your practice account. You can invite friends to try Hummingbird Trading, subscribe to our trading emails, like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter.

If you've used these methods and continue to run out of money, just email us at support@tradehummingbird.com and we will add additional practice funds. Don't forget to tell us your trader name in the email!
